Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Hostess handles information when you use this website, contact us, call a Hostess demo, or use a restaurant phone service or owner desk we operate.

Effective September 30, 2026

Information we receive

If you contact us through the website, we receive your name, restaurant name, work email, and any message you choose to send. If you call a Hostess demo or a participating restaurant uses Hostess, the call may provide caller ID and details you choose to share, such as your name, callback number, email, event date and time, party size, event type, budget, or notes.

Restaurant owners using the private desk provide account email and authentication information. Supabase handles sign-in; Hostess does not receive or display your password. Website hosting and service providers may process basic connection information such as IP address, browser, and request time to deliver and secure their services.

How we use information

Restaurant calls

When a restaurant uses Hostess, information collected during a call is provided to that restaurant so its team can respond. Contact that restaurant for questions about its use of your inquiry. Hostess processes call information to provide the service under the restaurant's configuration and agreement.

Audio recording and stored transcript retention are off by default in the configured pilot. A restaurant-specific policy, approval, and caller disclosure are required before recording or transcript storage is enabled. Settings may differ by service configuration; follow any disclosure given during a call.

Service providers

We use service providers to host the website and operate the service. Depending on the feature, these may include GitHub Pages for website hosting, Supabase for form and service data, ElevenLabs for automated voice interaction, and Resend for email notifications. The site also loads its font files from Google Fonts and a browser library from jsDelivr. These providers process information as needed to provide their services under their own terms and privacy notices.

Cookies, advertising, and sale

The public marketing pages do not currently use advertising pixels or analytics trackers. The private owner desk uses browser storage to maintain an authenticated session. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to respond, provide the configured service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention for restaurant call records is determined by service configuration and the restaurant's agreement; contact inquiries are kept as needed for follow-up and business records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use access controls and safeguards appropriate to the service.

Your privacy requests

Where privacy laws give you rights to access, correct, or delete information, you can contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may retain information where the law permits or requires it. For an inquiry handled for a restaurant, contact the restaurant as well so it can locate its records.

California residents can learn about applicable rights through the California Attorney General's CCPA information.

Children and policy updates

This business service and website are intended for restaurant operators and adult callers arranging restaurant events, not children. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
